There is not a lot speaking of information currently released about Battlefield 6, even though the gaming community is expecting a full reveal in the weeks ahead. This is all based on rumors, leaks, and the few comments made by the developers. That being said, it seems the new Battlefield will be a rebirth for the franchise that has made it's mark on the genre by having destructible environments and realistic combat. War Stories are supposedly making a return, which sees players taking on different perspectives in the story. This is very similar to how the campaign worked in Call of Duty: W

DICE's Battlefield 6 _ will reportedly take players to a near-future setting and see a new generation of weaponry when it launches later in 2021 , similar to 2012's _Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 . According to reports and rumors, it sounds like Battlefield 6 will stay true to its roots with its core gameplay but will take a leap forward in terms of setting and sc

While Call of Duty releases a new iteration every year with updated mechanics and classic multiplayer, Battlefield takes more time in between each entry instead of annual releases. Including Battlefield 6 , DICE has presumably taken its time on development, releasing little to no updates for their large-scale multiplayer in the time between. With rumors and leaks for Battlefield 6 circulating, DICE should avoid comparisons to its predecessor, Call of Duty: WW2, even if it does use the setting of history's most infamous large-scale

While nearly everything said about Battlefield 6 thus far is essentially speculation, some of the sources leaking the information have proven to be viable in the past. As such, while fans should take the rumors with a grain of salt because of this, they are worthy of discussion and excitement. If some or all of the Battlefield 6 rumors shared thus far prove true, then fans are in for an interesting game that serves as an evolution of the franchise. While more leaks could certainly come throughout the next few weeks, here is everything rumored for the game thus

2021 marks the first year since 2018 where a Battlefield title will release, and as such, it is the first time since that the two biggest FPS franchises will be launching games in the same year. Intriguingly, rumors for the games indicate that they will be the exact opposite of what happened in 2018. For Battlefield 6 , this means taking on a near future setting — the same thing that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 did back in 2018. While the exact year has not been specified, a Kazakhstan and World War 3 setting have been specif

Since these two shooter franchises are oftentimes similar, both being multiplayer first-person shooters on a surface level, it's no surprise fans imagine a friendly rivalry between them. However, with Battlefield returning three years after the disappointing Battlefield 5 , some fans hope that the Battlefield and Call of Duty rivalry will be reignited. Seeing as a World War 2 setting didn't work well for Battlefield 5 , it makes sense that the franchise would return to a modern setting where DICE has the freedom to create. With the new Call of Duty reportedly going back to WW2, Battlefield's __ next entry shouldn't tread similar ground like a WW2 Call of Duty title mi

While this is a given, as it is crucial to what makes a Battlefield game work, DICE needs to ensure that the game’s destruction is taken to another level inside the sequel. A possible return of the Levelution system from Battlefield 4 would be great to see, while destructible walls and floors like those seen in Rainbow Six Siege would also be an exciting evolution of the formula. While Call of Duty has never incorporated major map destruction for its multiplayer offerings, Battlefield needs it to succeed. Fortunately, Battlefield 6 will likely deliver in this area, as reports of fully destructible cityscapes imply that DICE is taking full advantage of the Frostbite eng

While Battlefield 5 lacked a split-screen mode, hopefully Battlefield 6 will include one, as a surprising number of players still make use of the feature. If Battlefield 6 does end up offering split-screen options, though, it needs to be far better than Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ’s split-screen . Poorly implemented and bugged for several months now, players using the feature suffer from huge issues such as invisible enemies and severe lag in online multiplayer. As such, making sure Battlefield 6 ’s system runs correctly would be cruc

As for the gameplay, players know a fair bit about the game via various leaks. A 128-player count seems all-but-confirmed, as EA has publicly stated that matches will be larger. The game’s destruction will supposedly be taken up a notch, with fully destructible cities and natural disasters that destroy maps . With both lining up well with the Battlefield 4 concept of Levelution, this rumor would make sense. Other leaks have indicated that War Stories will return and that the game will serve as a hub for past Battlefield ga
